Building loyalty within our communities, shopping and supporting local have never been more important to us all and the Glanbia Co-op Trading Bonus Scheme provides farm families with an ideal opportunity to earn rewards while supporting the business in their locality that they majority own, Glanbia Ireland.

The equitable, transparent Scheme returns a share of Glanbia Ireland’s profit to active farm families and benefits them in proportion to the amount of business they conduct with their local Co-Operative.

This loyalty towards a business embedded in and supportive of the local communities across the Glanbia catchment area creates value within the Coop itself, delivering greater profits for distribution among active members each February.

Now in its fourth year, the Glanbia Co-op Trading Bonus Scheme is rooted in the twin pillars of our Co-op strategy – it supports active Members and it supports Glanbia Ireland.

The loyalty initiative rewards Co-op members for a wide range of purchases made from Glanbia Ireland and its subsidiaries throughout the year. These include everything from feed, fertiliser, veterinary medicines and leading dairy hygiene products to farm hardware and more. All such purchases are included in the calculations and help farm families reap annual rewards.

The Milk Supplier Trading Bonus is worth up to €2,000 to a 500,000 litre supplier spending over 8 cpl with Glanbia Ireland this year. Purchases made through Purchasing Groups count at 50% for 2021.

 

How To View Your Trading Bonus

 

Milk Suppliers

For milk supplier Members of Glanbia Co-op, the 2021 Trading Bonus is potentially worth up to 0.4 cent per litre (cpl) on all milk delivered in 2021.

At the end of 2021, the total spend will be divided by the total litres of milk delivered to generate a ‘cent per litre input spend’ for each Member. The applicable Trading Bonus will be paid in February 2022, a timely boost for farm families.

 

Grain Growers

For Glanbia Ireland grain growers, a Trading Bonus of up to €10 per tonne, plus VAT where applicable, on grain supplied is available for 2021. The rate of Trading Bonus will vary depending on the level of “qualifying grain inputs” purchased. Qualifying grain inputs are seed grain, fertilisers, ag-chemicals, crop packaging and other seeds.

 

Livestock Farmers

Livestock farmer customers of Glanbia Ireland that are Co-op Members but not milk suppliers to Glanbia will also qualify for a Feed Bonus on their tonnes purchased this year. The Feed Bonus will be paid on all tonnes of beef, dairy, sheep and pig feeds purchased from Glanbia Ireland (confined to non-milk supplier Members in 2021). The 2021 Feed Trading Bonus will be €10 per tonne on Beef, Dairy and Sheep feed products.

 

Feed Customers

Qualifying Co-op Members that buy pig feed or Straights from Glanbia Ireland will receive a feed bonus of €3 per tonne.
