However, given the substantial demand for product there may be some unavoidable delays in delivery.

In the event that for logistical/capacity reasons within Glanbia some tonnage ordered by the scheme closing date of April 23rd is delivered after April 28th this product will still qualify for rebate under this scheme.

The spirit of the Fodder Scheme is focused on providing Glanbia Co-op members with support in relation to helping to address a material shortage of fodder on farms as a result of prolonged difficult weather conditions.

In that context, under the scheme there is no limitation on the volume purchased by an individual customer – provided that:

  • The product is purchased for use on the Co-op members own farm,
  • There is no attempt to purchase product for re-sale and the volumes purchased reflect the normal usage pattern on that farm for the month of April/early May (adjusted for the current unseasonal weather).

Any abuse of the scheme could result in the non-payment of the Fodder Scheme Rebate.

In terms of payment, Glanbia’s objective is to have the rebate on qualifying volumes paid during the month of May 2018 for all product delivered by April 28th. The Fodder Scheme rebate will not qualify for VAT.
