New system for ordering cattle tags

The Department of Agriculture has made changes to the tag ordering system. Farmers are advised to order online or use the form available in the farming press.

Glanbia suppliers need to be aware of changes this year to the system for ordering cattle identification tags in Ireland. There will now be more than one supply option available, but the tag supply companies will not be allowed to write directly to farmers as they did in the past.

Glanbia suppliers that will require tags in the coming months should make direct contact with one of the approved tag suppliers. This can be done online or by completing an order form available in the farming press.

Mullinahone Co-operative’s Eurotags was the first company approved and they can be contacted on 052 9153102 or [email protected]

Tags can be ordered via their website www.mullinahonecoop.ie/
