As a Group with great people, strong financial capability and strong ambition to continue to deliver better nutrition to our customers and consumers, we are well placed for future growth.
I would like to take the opportunity to recognise the contribution made by our farmer suppliers, shareholders and trading customers, who are at the heart of our organisation.
I am very conscious that our success and growth has, and will continue to be, down to our many stakeholders working together to achieve a common goal. We have a unique, integrated business model - inherent in the plc and Society and this has enabled us to deliver on our ambitious growth targets.
As Group MD, I am very ambitious for all parts of the business: Glanbia Performance Nutrition; Glanbia Nutritionals and our Strategic Joint Ventures. In recent years, we have significantly reshaped our organisation with expansions, acquisitions and not least with the creation of Glanbia Ireland.
These initiatives demonstrate the ambition of the Group to build on its existing strengths, drive future sustainable growth and deliver on our vision to be one of the world’s top performing nutrition companies.
In 2018, we outlined our ambition to grow total Group revenue to over €5 billion by 2022. Glanbia is today a focused Group with market leading platforms in performance nutrition, value added nutritional solutions and dairy ingredients. We are well positioned to capture growth from global consumer nutrition trends related to health & wellness, active lifestyles and clean ingredients.
We have a clear strategic direction for the next phase of sustainable growth for the Group. Working together we can ensure that Glanbia remains at the forefront of today’s exciting opportunities while navigating any challenges in the external environment and by doing so, deliver long term value for all our stakeholders.
