- Reduces SCC and kills mastitis causing bacteria
- Prevents cross contamination when cluster dipping
- Protects the teat from infection
- No residue after applying
- Contains Peracetic acid which prevents damage to the rubbers
Perfo Grif is a Peracetic acid which reduces the risk of contamination. It is bactericidal and sporocidal. The acid eliminates hypochlorite on a daily basis. There are no residues after using and it prevents cross contamination when cluster dipping. One infected cow could contaminate the 6 following ones. The size available is 24kg. By preventing cross contamination you are also preventing mastitis and reducing your S.C.C (Somatic Cell Count). This is the number of somatic cells found in a millilitre of milk. Somatic cells or body cells are a mixture of milk-producing cells shed from udder tissue and immune tissue (white blood cells).
This is suitable to use in a cluster flush system. Peracetic acid is recommended for cluster dipping as it is less likely to damage the milking parlour rubberware. For cluster dipping it is recommended that you use 30mls per 20L of water. For the final rinse use 60ml per 100L water (rate of which depends on whether the water is hard or soft). It can be used in a hot or cold wash. Always wear protective clothing when using the acid.
