The countdown is on to the Croke Park clash where both sides will line out in the hotly anticipated match.

The old rivalry between Wexford and Kilkenny may see both teams clash on the pitch in the Leinster Senior Hurling Final for 2019.

Yet, they’ll both be sporting a common theme on their jerseys.

Unusually, both county sides are sponsored by Glanbia.

Wexford’s Lee Chin sports GAIN Animal Nutrition on his jersey and Glanbia Agribusiness on his leisure-wear, whilst Kilkenny’s Richie Leahy carries Ireland’s number 1 milk brand Avonmore on the black and amber jersey.

The sport stars from both rival teams gathered at Glanbia Ireland’s Agribusiness and Countrylife store and O’Hanrahan’s Bridge in New Ross ahead of Brian Cody and Davy Fitzgerald’s sides lining out in the Leinster Senior Hurling Final at Croke Park on Sunday, 30th June 2019.

Rob O’Keeffe, Glanbia Ireland’s Agribusiness Head of Marketing, said: “The Leinster hurling championship has already given us many great moments of sportsmanship on the field. We look forward to another great outing as both teams are equally great ambassadors for the sport.

“Similar to the GAA, Glanbia Ireland has its heritage and roots deeply embedded in local communities and parishes. Both GAIN and Avonmore are proud to be associated with both teams.”
