Glanbia Ireland showcase Services at Ploughing Championships

The 2017 National Ploughing Championships provided a fantastic opportunity for the Glanbia Ireland teams to engage with our suppliers and customers.

Board members and staff from Glanbia Ingredients Ireland, Agribusiness, Consumer Foods, the Co-op Shares Office, Finance Ireland (MilkFlex) and Glanbia Connect were present in the Glanbia Ireland stand over the three days.

Milk Quality was a theme in many of the seminars held and our suppliers were able to speak with staff in relation to the Milk Culturing and Herd Health Disease Screening Services which are two of the services we provide. Staff were also on hand to advise on our soil and silage sampling services.

Visitors to the stand also had the opportunity to meet the GlanbiaConnect team, link new accounts, give user feedback and enter a competition to win a €1,000 shopping spree on the site. Visitors to the stand over the three days included Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Michael Creed T.D. and EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Food, Phil Hogan. The Commissioner was delighted to meet his county compatriot, nine time All Ireland Hurling Final winner Jackie Tyrell who launched his book ‘The Warriors Code’ in the Glanbia Ireland stand at the event.

The National Ploughing Championships are a great way to engage with our farming community. We congratulate the organisers on another successful show and look forward to 2018.
