Hannon’s Farm to Host Agri Aware Open Farm Day

Larry and Karen Hannon, Avonmore milk suppliers will open their gates for Agri Aware’s National Open Farm Day this May bank holiday Monday (6 May).

This free family event aims to showcase the farm to fork journey to thousands of people across Ireland with open farm events taking place in Kildare, Cork and Dublin.

The Hannon farm is a third generation farm nestled beside the quaker village of Ballitore, County Kildare. The Hannons milk over 200 cows, adjacent to the Glanbia Ireland Ballitore fresh dairy facility.

On the day the farm will be a hive of activities with cookery demos with Celebrity Chef Edward Hayden; Butter discos, face painting, an Avonmore milk bar, parlour talks, sheep shearing, live broadcast with Kildare FM and much more!
