Glanbia provide solutions at Ploughing

Agribusiness All Beef Co-op Corporate Dairy

Storm Ali didn’t dampen the spirits of the thousands of visitors to the Glanbia Ireland stand with suppliers and customers engaging with employees from across the company

Board members and staff from Glanbia Ireland including Agribusiness, Avonmore, Glanbia Connect and the Co-op Shares office were present on the stand over the three days.

Services on hand

Fodder Solutions was the hot topic of our seminars held over the three days. Staff members were on hand to work through our farmers’ dilemmas one-on-one, and provide advice on Autumn/Winter Fodder Management.

Many visitors to the stand engaged with our Milk Culturing and Herd Health Disease Screening Services from the Milk Quality Team as well as the Soil and Silage Sampling Services from Gain Animal Nutrition.

Customers and visitors to the stand also had the chance to meet the Glanbia Connect team and enter a competition to win a €1,000 shopping spree on the website.

Customers quenched their thirst at the Avonmore milk bar and had the opportunity to sign up for doorstep deliveries with MyMilkman.ie

Seminars

A number of speakers took to our Glanbia Ireland stage to provide personal insights and technical expertise each day.

Monitor farmers Michael Doran and Eamon Healy spoke about their positive experience of the programme and encouraged others to get involved in future schemes.

We were also joined by Glanbia Milk Suppliers Padraig Keane, 2018 FBD Young Farmer of the Year Dairy Award winner Eamonn Keevers and CellCheck winner Padraig Ó Scanaill. Padraig gave his tips for improving cell counts on the farm along with Glanbia’s Fionnuala Malone.

Gillian O’Sullivan dropped by to chat about her experience on Big Week on the Farm and stress the importance of maintaining superior milk quality.

Glanbia’s Brian Hanafin provided information on our new FundEquip Scheme to help suppliers fund the purchase of bulk tanks, cooling equipment, meal bins and generators. Storm Ali this week led to a surge in interest for generators.

As we come to a close this evening we thank all visitors to the Glanbia stand over the three days.
