Glanbia at Ploughing 2016

GII Agribusiness All Beef Co-op Corporate Dairy Tillage

As the National Ploughing Championships came to a close on Thursday last at Screggan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly we take a look back on the three days of action. Firstly, a special thank you to all who called by our exhibit to meet the Glanbia Ingredients Ireland, Agribusiness, Consumer Foods, the Co-op Shares Office and Finance Ireland (MilkFlex) teams.

Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Michael Creed T.D., visited the Glanbia stand on Wednesday to meet the Glanbia teams and engage with the range of Glanbia products, schemes and services on display during the event.

There was plenty of interest in our ploughing special offers, particularly our soil testing service offer. The special price of €15 per sample is exclusively available to Glanbia customers and suppliers who sign up for the soil testing service at the 2016 National Ploughing Championships and will end on the 30th September 2016. Minimum order is five samples per farm. If still interested in this offer, please contact your local Glanbia Agri Business Manager or GII Farm Development Manager.

The Glanbia Vet, Shane McElroy also had numerous queries on both the Milk Culturing and Herd Health Disease Screening Services. Our parlour wall was a particular attraction that brought to life conversation around best practices in the milking parlour and dairy.

Visitors to the stand also had the opportunity to meet the GlanbiaConnect team, link new accounts and give user feedback on the site. Should you have any GlanbiaConnect queries do not hesitate to contact the helpdesk on [email protected] or on 1890 100 017. Pictured below during his visit to the stand is Minister for Food, Forestry and Horticulture, Andrew Doyle T.D.

Representatives from Finance Ireland, the admistrators of the recently launched Glanbia MilkFlex loan fund, were also available to provide our suppliers with information on their competitively priced loans.

As always, the National Ploughing Championships are a great way to engage with our farming community. We congratulate the organisers on another successful show and look forward to 2017.
