Following the formation of Glanbia Ireland in July, it was suggested that Glanbia Ireland’s milk tankers should be used to promote the Avonmore brand. It was agreed to do a pilot and this week a fully branded Avonmore milk tanker joined the Glanbia Ireland farm milk collection fleet.

This tanker will be allocated to Southcoast Transport and will commence milk assembly operations in the southern region. There is a lot of motorway mileage from Fermoy to Ballyragget, which should ensure maximum visibility. Early next year, a tanker will be allocated to the liquid milk area operating from Drogheda.

The aim is to promote the Avonmore brand with Irish consumers and to increase our farmer suppliers’ connection with the brand of which they are now the majority owners.

The design of tanker features happy, healthy Glanbia Ireland cows grazing on an open pasture of lush green grass – the source of our Avonmore product. Watch out for it on our roads. When safe to do so, please snap a picture and share on social media.

The tanker joins a best in class milk collection fleet - all our tankers are equipped with the most up-to-date pumping and communications equipment. Avonmore today is the most purchased grocery brand in Ireland and is enjoyed by over 80% of households on a daily basis. Glanbia Ireland is 60% owned by Glanbia Co-operative Society Limited.
