CellCheck On Farm Event: Kehoe Farm, Wexford

When:  26 October 2018, 10:30 AM

The aim of these events are to further farmers knowledge to help maximize their farms potential in the coming year.

Across Ireland, over one million cows will be dried off for the winter over the coming weeks. Management at drying off and throughout the dry period can have a big impact on the quality and volume of milk that they produce during the following lactation.

Glanbia Ireland is delighted to have partnered with CellCheck and Teagasc to be involved in running a number of events across the supply region. The Milk Quality Team will be in attendance on the day and able to assist with any one on one queries you may have for your farm.

Topics to be covered at the event will include:

  1. What is the best way to dry off cows?
  2. Is there a role for selective dry cow therapy?
  3. Can you reduce the risk of mastitis for in-calf heifers?
  4. How can you best look after your dry cows?

The CellCheck On Farm Event will take place on the farm of Denis & Emmet Kehoe, Ballykelly, Ballymurn, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, Y21 AE94 on the 26 October 2018.
